Kathy,
Congratulations on your efforts to quit smoking. Wanting to quit - really wanting to quit - is the first step! You've tried cold turkey and found that is not working for you. So, you've learned something important from your previous attempts. You're doing exactly what a Coach would want you to do, which is continue to learn from your attempts!

Getting help increases your chances of success. Have you considered the Delaware Quit Line? They offer free counseling and vouchers for quit smoking aids, like patches and Chantix. Also, look at cancer.org for lots of information about cessation methods and strategies. Call your local American Cancer Society representative, they have one on one support services too. Also, ask your Human Resources representative at work. What services and support do they offer? Ask your doctor. Finally, consider health coaching. Search online for a certified Coach in your area.

The idea is act on what you learn. You realized that cold turkey is not working and that you need more help. Don't be afraid to reach out. You might just find that it works - it can't hurt! Keep at it - the average smoker tries seven times before quitting!

You're on your way to better health!
